ShineOn featured its ACORN DOB technology at LED forum

Driver-on-Board (DOB) based on AC linear driver technology is rapidly becoming the new choice for LED lighting                 applications, especially where compact, high performance and reliability, dimmable lighting source is needed. Jay Guoxu Liu, CTO and EVP of ShineOn delivered a “Trend Toward Driver-on-Board LED module” presentation at the recent LEDforum     2016, organized by LEDinside, and Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition.The forum brings together globally-known    enterprises and professional analysts from LEDinside, the sessions at the LEDforum dissects the current status of LED          industry and forecast the future market trend on a theme of market trend and development strategy from various               perspectives.

Dr. Liu reviewed the LED market and technology trend, indicating DOB, as a driver integrated light engine, is suitable for     down light, ceiling light, and spot light. He introduced a portfolio of DoB products based on both COB and SMD platform     using its patented ACORN AC-linear driver technology.He concluded that the DoB technology is evolving rapidly with            improved power efficiency, dimming/color tuning capability, and cost benefit. Power-efficient driver IC and optical-efficient HV-LED are the building blocks for DoB. The compact DOBprovides new flexibility to lighting fixture design. With proper IC    design or use of simple auxiliary components, flicker that is often noticed in some of AC driver LED, can be reduced or        eliminated.
